I’m thrilled to announce this exciting trip to the beautiful Spanish beach town of Nerja for a wonderful holistic holiday— a wonderful chance to rest and replenish and kick-back with like-minded new friends in the Spanish sunshine – at a luxury villa with a private pool, just 8 minutes walk from pristine and peaceful beaches…….. 🌴😎💟  and all just one hour from Malaga International Airport (transfers included!).

In addition to daily TAI CHI and CHI KUNG classes, guided MEDITATIONS and soothing SOUND BATHS with me – Michelle Gupta (teaching in Cork since 2010) – delighted to confirm that we will be joined by a guest Yoga instructor, Kate Cuddy , also from Cork! So we will also enjoy daily YOGA sessions with Kate!! I simply can’t wait!

EVERYONE IS WELCOME and no experience is necessary. We will guide you carefully through every step.

Where: Nerja, Spain – approx 1-hour from Malaga airport (transfers incl!)

During a brief visit to Nerja in May 2025, I was simply blown away by the breathtaking ocean views and scenery in the area, the pristine beaches with their affordable and relaxed restaurants and the little cobbled streets with shops and cafes. Plus there are views of mountains in the distance. I was delighted to see there isn’t a highrise hotel in sight and the not-too-warm temperatures during May were perfect. I cant wait to share it with you!!

Our villas – we have two beautiful villas each with a private pool on a very quiet street, situated just 8 mins walk from pristine Burriana beach and 15 mins walk from the breathtaking Balcon De Europa Plaza.

Retreat Prices and rooms: PLACES ARE STRICTLY LIMITED to 13 guests. There are TWELVE bright, stylish rooms – some with a balcony – in two neighbouring villas :

NB. UPDATE as of early Feb 2026 – there are now just THREE ROOMS LEFT – all are available for single occupancy only and have a bathroom shared with maximum one other person all priced at €945pp.

WHAT’S INCLUDED in the retreat price?  

• 6 nights accommodation: We will be based in two, beautiful neighbouring villas each with a private pool – just 8 mins walk from Nerja’s pristine Burriana beach with its shops and restaurants and 15 mins walk from the breathtaking plaza “Balcon De Europa” and Nerja town. Scroll to the bottom of the page for AVAILABLE ROOM OPTIONS.

• Private pool – Each villa has a private pool with sun loungers
• Also full facilities – eg. kitchen with washing machine etc, indoor and outdoor dining areas. One villa even has a pool table!
• One set of bedding and towels per person is provided. They can be replaced during our stay upon request at extra cost.

• Airport transfers –  Malaga International Airport NB. Taxis will be combined to suit flight schedules
• I will provide six daily breakfast/brunches – these will be self-service at the villas. Pls advise in advance if you require veggie, gluten or dairy free.
• Daily classes including Tai Chi, Chi Kung, Sound Baths & Meditation. And Yoga with or guest instructor NB. Classes will commence in the morning of our first full day 18th May and end on the evening of our last night’s stay Fri 22nd May.
• A daytrip to the famous Nerja Caves including audio guide tour and the little, red tourist train!
• Plenty of free time to explore the stunning streets of Nerja with its pristine beaches, and many restaurants, cafes, shops and the spectacular Plaza de Balcon Europa. Or just relax by the pool at your villa!
• Departure day Sat 23rd May – due to 10am check-out from the villas and late departure times of both Ryanair and Aerlingus flights back to Cork, I have booked an apartment at a nearby beach for the whole group to use to store your luggage and have a shower etc. NB. You’ll need to use your own beach towel that day for showers.
• NB> It’s essential that you BRING A YOGA MAT for all our classes. Pls bear this in mind when booking your flights / luggage. You can always fold it up and bring in hand-luggage!

HOW TO BOOK & PAYMENTS – 

• SELECT YOUR ROOM OPTION – Please see the remaining room options below and select your chosen room option. Places are limited and subject to availability at the time of booking.

NB. BOOKING FOR SHARED OCCUPANCY (twin/double) – A minimum of TWO PLACES must be booked if you wish to share a twin or double room. Shared places cannot be booked individually for two people who are not attending the event together eg. with a friend, family member or partner.

IMPORTANT : Before booking your place please kindly read the T&C’s shown below. By booking your place you are confirming that you have read and understood them. Thankyou.

• PAY YOUR DEPOSIT – a non-refundable deposit** of €250pp is required to book your place. If booking your place after Fri 20th March 2026 / 8 weeks before the event then the full fee is payable. See T&C’s and Cancellation Policy below.
• FINAL INSTALMENT – The full-balance / final instalment is due 8 weeks before the event which is no later than Friday 20th March 2026. If you book your place on or after 20th March, the FULL RETREAT FEEis payable

YOUR INSTRUCTORS – 

MICHELLE GUPTA – Hello! I’m Michelle and have been teaching Tai Chi, Chi Kung and Meditation in and around Cork in Ireland since 2010. Since running my first retreat in Greece back in 2017 I was hooked on sharing purposeful, holistic holidays and have since taken groups to Portugal, Lanzarote (twice), India (twice) and most recently Marrakech in Morocco in Oct 2025! I also host all-inclusive weekends in Ireland. Sound Baths were added to my repertoire of events back in 2022 and I can’t wait to share the soothing sounds of the bowls with you too!

GUEST YOGA INSTRUCTOR KATE CUDDY – I also love to have Yoga classes as part of my overseas events and 2026 is no exception. I’m thrilled to have Kate Cuddy as our guest Yoga teacher in Nerja. She has been teaching in Cork for over 10 years and we recently collaborated in some gorgeous Restorative Sounds workshops.

No experience is necessary to attend this retreat and we will guide you carefully through every step and activity. Please get in touch with Michelle if you have any queries or concerns.

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED in the retreat fee:

• Flights
• Yoga mats – it’s essential that you bring a mat for our all of our classes. I also suggest bringing a blanket for our Sound baths / Meditations.
• All meals, drinks and snacks other than our daily self-service breakfast / brunch.
• Bottles of drinking water –  The tap water in Spain should not be used for drinking. I will aim to provide a bottle per person upon arrival but you will then need to purchase water for the rest of the trip. I will be making a few trips to the local supermarket (by car) so I would be happy to pick some up for you upon request.
• Any daytrips or entrance fees – other than to the Nerja Caves.
• Any other personal expenses, shopping, taxis etc.
• Travel insurance
• Beach towels – you’ll need to bring one with you plus I recommend beach shoes as the beaches are made up of tiny stones rather than sand.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICY 

RE: Tai Chi – Sun, Sound & Sea in Nerja, Spain – holistic holiday facilitated by Michelle Gupta x6 nights / 5 days.

Villas – owned and managed by Nerja Paradise Rentals – a professional, family run holiday villa rentals business with over 25 years of experience in renting private villas in Nerja.

Dates: commencing Sunday 17th May 4pm until Saturday 23rd May 10am 2026. These are the check-in and check-out times as specified by Nerja Paradise Rentals  – please bear these in mind when booking your flights. We should be able to leave our luggage at their office which is a few steps away from the villas while we wait for our airport transfers by the beach!

RE: Airport transfers – these are included in your retreat fee and will be arranged by me through Nerja Paradise Rentals according to our group flight times.

By booking your place on this holiday you are agreeing to abide by the following terms and conditions and confirm that you have read and understand all the information below. Paying your deposit and subsequent full-fees for the holiday forms the contract between me – Michelle Gupta, the retreat facilitator – and yourself.

1) Travel Insurance  – it is essential that ensure yourself and any parties you may be attending with have adequate travel insurance for your trip. I, Michelle Gupta, cannot accept any participants who are not insured to travel from their home country to Spain

2) Deposits – The deposit €250 pp paid to confirm your place is completely non-refundable and will not be refunded for any reason. The only exception being a total cancellation of the event by the venue owners or the host** (See Cancellation policy below).

3) A minimum of TWO PLACES must be booked if you wish to share a twin or double room. Shared places cannot be booked individually for two people who are not attending the event together eg. You must book two places with a friend, partner or family member etc.

4) All payments must be made in accordance with the PAYMENT SCHEDULE listed above.

NB. If booking your place on or after Friday 20th March 2026 then the full-fee is payable.

5) Group event – this retreat is designed as a group event and is held in the spirit of communal accommodation, group classes, eating meals together (sometimes on-site and sometimes in local restaurants) and attending included excursions together. Naturally you are not obliged to attend every class or event offered on this trip – but if you are looking for a customised, solo holiday then this is NOT the right event for you! If you choose not to attend certain parts of the retreat including daytrips, then alternative arrangements will not be made for you.

6) Please note that I. Michelle Gupta, am not a tour operator nor a property manager. I am a Tai Chi, Chi Kung and Meditation instructor who has organised a group event at a venue not managed by me. If you have any issues or queries regarding accommodation, transport and other services such as daytrips not directly provided by me, you must contact the providers / venue manager yourself directly.

7) Physical exercise and classes provided by me – I have been teaching since 2010 and your safety and comfort during Tai Chi and Chi Kung classes is always my primary concern. The majority of movements in my  classes are fairly gentle and I will talk you through every step. However, you will need to be aware of the limits of your body on any particular day and adjust movements accordingly.  If you have incurred an injury or surgery I recommend that you do not take part in my classes until 3 months afterwards. Please be mindful of your own physical limits and abilities when taking up any new form of exercise and during the classes ensure you stop immediately if any movements cause pain, dizziness or discomfort.

8) Force majeur – excluding Covid 19 – if the retreat cannot take place due to any event beyond reasonable control of myself or the venue owners and that which is unavoidable notwithstanding the care of the affected parties, each situation will be assessed at the time and all attempts will be made to re-schedule the event for a later date.

9) By signing up for my event you agree to subscribe to my monthly email newsletter. As a highly valued client I wish to keep you updated on retreats, classes, events and offers. I send no more than one email per month and you can unsubscribe at any time.

10) NB. Balcony rooms*** One of the three balcony rooms has a spiral staircase up to the roof-terrace NB. This roof terrace is NOT open for general use for any guests (including guests staying in this room) but it will be used for some of our planned classes. Therefore, if you are in this room the group will need to access the stairs at designated times through your bedroom. I will allocate this room to the guest who books the third balcony room and advise them accordingly.

11) Mobility issue – this event is not suitable for those with mobility issues due to the nature of the planned activities, the villa properties and the local terrain.

Cancellation policy:

• The deposit €250pp is entirely non-refundable**
• Any cancellations made 8 weeks or more prior to the event – on or before 20th March 2026 – will receive a refund of the full retreat fee paid to date minus €250pp deposit which will not be refunded.
• Any cancellations made less than 8 weeks prior to the event – on or after 20th March 2026 will be charged at 100% of the retreat fee and no refunds will be issued for any reason**
• If you cannot attend and you have someone else who would like attend the retreat in your place, I will try wherever possible to transfer your place to them.
• ** If the event is cancelled by the venue owners or myself, the retreat facilitator, then you will receive a FULL refund including your deposit.
